Forest Management

The days of clear cutting and moving on are long gone. We work diligently with wood contractors and our professional forestry staff to develop forestry plans including soil testing, tree density studies and wildlife surveys before any cutting begins. We comply with all government regulations and use environmentally beneficial silviculture practices including tree planting and thinning as part of our forestry management processes. We prefer to cut what we already have orders for instead of speculating on what we might be able to sell. It’s a more progressive, more responsible philosophy that’s better all around.
